Lazy Afternoon

This was my first painting to explore fantasy art. I'm tired of seeing dragons spitting fire and attacking villages. I wanted to see them in their own environment doing what they do when they aren't spitting fire on brave knights. I like the mood and calmness of the scene, the girl with the dragon as they watch the wind blow across the grass.

Oh well, dragons... Your picture is really a success. I like this peaceful feeling it give to me (sorry for my bad english ;) ) and the very smooth light.
You know, I'm also fed up with the eternal representations of dragons in violent scenes, but unfortunatly, it's the only thing that people askes me to draw... ("why are they not eating people, why there isn't bones over all the floor, why doesn't it spit fire", etc...) Always more darker...
That's why, in addition with the very good quality of your work, I appreciate this picture a lot... :)

This is one of my favorites on your site. I love the idea of a peaceful afternoon having a picnic with a friendly dragon....
